Summer Sniffles Herbal Tea

A Mountain Rose Herbs Recipe

Every now and then, a head cold strikes "off season" in the summer months instead of during the winter when it's more expected. This infusion of herbs is chocked full off vitamin C and soothing mucilage address a sore throat or raspy cough.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons organic Slippery Elm Bark
2 tablespoons organic Marshmallow Root or organic Marshmallow Leaf
1 tablespoon organic dried Elderberries
1 tablespoon organic Red Clover Blossoms
Raw, organic honey to taste

Directions

Place all the herbs in a large mason jar or other container and cover with boiling water (about 3 cups). Let it steep for 10 minutes, then strain and sweeten with honey to taste. Makes about 3 cups of tea. Double the recipe to make a bigger batch. You can also let the tea infuse overnight to make it even more potent.
