Simply Lavender Soap
These easy-to-make, little lavender-scented soaps are perfect to set out in a decorative dish when you’re expecting overnight guests. They make great gifts too!
The alkanet root powder in this recipe is optional. Use it if you want to have a purple tint to your soaps
Ingredients
1 ½ cups melt and pour glycerin soap base
1 teaspoon alkanet root powder (optional)
1 teaspoon whole lavender buds
25 drops lavender essential oil
Directions
Gently heat the soap base in the top of a double boiler until completely melted. Stir in the alkanet root powder, if using. Remove from heat. Stir in the lavender buds and essential oil. Pour into soap molds and set aside to completely cool and harden.
