Aloe, Lavender & Chamomile Sunburn Treatment

Did a crispy visage look back at you from the bathroom mirror this morning? Too much fun in the sun means oxidative stress for the skin, resulting in uneven skin tone, fine lines and other signs of aging. The powdered herbs in this facial treatment can help to turn back the clock and reverse the damage.

Ingredients

½ tablespoon powdered aloe leaf

½ tablespoon powdered lavender flower

2 teaspoons powdered chamomile flower

½ cup strong chamomile tea, cooled

2 drops lavender essential oil

Directions

Combine the powdered herbs in a small bowl. Slowly add the cooled tea while stirring. Stir in the essential oil. Set the bowl aside and let the mixture rest for a few minutes. Apply to clean skin, using fingertips to spread evenly. Put your head back or lie down for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and pat skin dry. Moisturize as usual.
