Connection to Spirit

"It’s been occurring to me lately that nothing is more important than maintaining our connection to Spirit. Nothing. I keep getting this message over & over & over again in so many ways. Of all the things we deem important, staying connected to Spirit trumps everything. It’s the one imperative in our long list of importants.
"People have all different kinds of things on their list of what’s important: family, work, mission, etc. Maintaining our connection to Spirit is more important than all of that.
Without connection to Spirit we get aimless, angry, depressed. We don’t have a clue. We go in any number of directions trying to fill an emptiness that only has one filling. All else leaves us wanting more.
"Self-love is key to connecting to Spirit. We are Spirit beings. If we can not love & appreciate who & what we are we cut ourselves off from Spirit. Not entirely, just our awareness. If we were to be completely cut off from Spirit we’d cease to exist. Nothing exists outside of Spirit.
Fortunately, being completely cut off from Spirit is an impossibility. We can not be cut off from who & what we are. But we can induce upon ourselves a state of amnesia. Self-loathing & denial of pleasure are the most common ways of doing exactly that. They’re sure-fire ways to make sure you forget."
